Charlize Theron at the Dior party!

06

July

It’s a very special time in the fashion capital of the world.  The Paris Haute Couture show got underway on 2nd July, and there were plenty of famous faces lighting up the Christian Dior 60th anniversary catwalk show and party.

The catwalk’s after party took place at the royal chateau of Versailles.  And even the celeb guests were taken by surprise by the majesty of their surroundings.

“It’s amazing, it’s like a dream come true.  I can’t even believe the grounds and this castle. It’s extraordinary,” gushed Jessica Alba.  Alba was joined by boyfriend Cash Warren, as well as fellow movie stars Kate Hudson and Charlize Theron.

And the modeling world made a strong showing as well.  Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista all showed up to the event looking fabulous (Gisele also walked in the catwalk show).

The Dior party is just the first of many star-studded events set to take place this week in Paris.  The fashion industry is outdoing itself once again, and we’ll keep you up to date on all the happenings

Charlize Theron’s wedding plans!

05

July

Guys… it’s old news that Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend have announced on National Television that they will get married only the day lesbian and gay couples are allowed by the Church to tie the knot… while the Church and the stereotypes just shrug the matter of as an act of insanity and the homosexual gang just pray that their quest for equality upturns the religious and legal authorities, I tried my hand at exploring the options…

Charlize n Stuart are not alone… it’s Mr. Deceptive Brad Pitt too who’s made such a vow… and considering Pitt, he just needs another reason to permanently postpone the wedding and enjoy free and non-committed sex with Angelina Jolie… but do these two also have similar intentions???? It is possible that all this is just my dirty mind getting extra heated up and coming up with such thoughts… but do give it a thought guys……

Charlize Loves Animals

01

July

pic_charlize-theron.jpg

Charlize Theron owes her compassion towards animals because she was raised on a farm. Her mother taught her this important lesson of life! The glamorous star who is always dressed the best way comments:

“Fur isn’t necessary. It doesn’t make sense to me to let these animals suffer for fashion.”

PETA has found a great supporter in charlize. PETA investigators on a fur farm in Midland, Michigan, saw chinchillas who were being electrocuted, causing painful seizures to the animals’ hearts, and having their necks broken while fully conscious. That is cruelty and I fully share muy concerns with PETA and Charlize. In fact there is a very nice billboard advertisement which goes by the slogan:

“If you wouldn’t wear your dog, please don’t wear any fur.”

This ad was shot with her dog Tucker. I think its pretty commendable the way Charlize has stood up for the noble cause. One heck of a woman who has showed a lot of strength in her character. Rock on Charlize!!

Mbeki and Charlize’s bit of white mischief

June

Controversial author Ronald Suresh Roberts’ long-awaited biography of Thabo Mbeki was released on Friday. Given access to the president, Roberts explains Mbeki’s thought processes on a variety of highly contentious subjects, including HIV and Aids and Zchar12.jpgimbabwe. In this extract, Roberts tell of the day Mbeki went out to meet ordinary South African voters - and that night invited some of them to join him at an official function to honour Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

Theron arrived in the Presidential ante-room mumbling about jetlag and mouthing vacuum-sealed pleasantries that seemed to come straight from the “Presidential Hobbies” dossier of a bad PR agency. “Do you play golf?” “In theory, yes,” came Mbeki’s reply, mocking his own mediocre handicap.

This banter was interrupted by Priscilla Naidoo, the protocol officer, who shepherded them out of the room, through the dark-wood doors towards the waiting cameras of the public. Three minutes later they stepped back into the room, followed by Essop Pahad, Motsepe, Menell and their wives. The Silverton trio then told Theron, in animated Afrikaans, the unbelievable story of their unexpected presence. Theron was as enraptured by their Cinderella tale.

“Ay chief, please make sure that these people really get those photos,” said Mbeki, looking his government photographer straight in the eye. Then the rooibos tea arrived and Charlize directly engaged the President, while the others chatted to Gerda Theron, Charlize’s mother.

The President was audibly impressed that Charlize had kept up with South African realities. When she asked how he felt, the President called himself “stunned” (a word more expressive than he had used with the journalists) by the mood earlier that day, “particularly among working-class poor whites”.

CineVegas honoree Charlize Theron at the Palms Hotel.

June

It had cooled down from the daytime high of 108 degrees when the CineVegas film fest paused to honor Charlize Theron, Ben Kingsley and Anthony Hopkins poolside Friday night at the Palms Casino Resort.

Presentations were made by Dennis Hopper, who has the lofty title of chairman of the Creative Advisory Board but downplayed any patron-like role.

“Icing on the cake,” was the way he described his position.

While Hopper said a key reason for his embracing the fest is “it’s close to home,” artistic director Trevor Groth said Las Vegas has a fest world advantage in offering “one-stop shopping. You’ve got theaters, party venues and rooms all under one roof.”

The presentations were made with admirable brevity and the honorees left the party faster than ill-managed cash at a craps table.

Hopper spoke warmly of each honoree, though especially of Theron whom he called: “Hot looking but she has brains. So it makes it a bit risky.”

Hopper stars in the Theron-produced “Ferris Wheel,” which led to an interesting moment when he referred to the pic by a different name.

“Obviously I’m not that good a producer,” Theron said. “He doesn’t know the name of the movie.”

Raymond Weil sues Charlize Theron!

14

June

charlize.jpgCharlize Theron seems to have spat in the well that gave her moolah. You dont feel anything but sorry for her after Luxury watchmaker, Raymond Weil has brought a whopping $20 million dollar lawsuit against its former ambassador.

Theron was supposed to showcase and promote the limited addition line of diamond-covered Shine watches, which sell for $7,000 and have straps made of gold or alligator skin.

Not a bad deal for a cool $20 million, right? Especially for an actress who hasn’t seen too many blockbuster hits recently in the movie department.

She ticks off her sponsors by turning up in a Tourneau catalogue wearing a diamond-encrusted watch over the words, “Charlize Theron wears Dior.” She was also photographed at a Texas film festival last March allegedly wearing a Dior watch.

Now Raymond Weil is suing Theron for two timing them and making them look stupid after all this money they gave her. They claim a clear breach of contract with respect to the alleged clause that she could not wear/promote another designers watch during the time she was contractually obligated to Weil.

Says David Jaraslowicz, the attorney for Raymond Weil..

““If you’re the model for Ralph Lauren, you can’t show up wearing Gucci at the Academy Awards.” “She undercut our entire ad campaign.”

“We spent a fortune on an ad campaign centered around her,” Jaroslawicz said. “Then she goes off and makes us look silly in the industry by wearing Dior.”

Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson Like It Au Naturel

June

charlize-theron01.jpgAccording to Newswire Today Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson requested eco-friendly skincare products on the set of their upcoming movie Battle in Seattle, scheduled for release on November 29, 2007.

The head make-up artist used organic, chemical-free skin care and make-up products from a website called Alchemist’s Apprentice, an online apothecary that sells high end natural and organic skin care products.

According to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, not only is there ”evidence link[ing] the pollutants and man-made chemicals that are in our environment and in products to cancer and other diseases” but “major loopholes in federal law allow the $35 billion cosmetics industry to put unlimited amounts of chemicals into personal care products with no required testing, no required monitoring of health effects, and no inadequate labeling requirements.”

Evidence also suggests that our immediate water systems and environments, as well as our bodies, absorb significant amounts of what we put on our skin.  Luckily, green and natural skincare products are popping up all over, and I can attest that Terressentials is a yummy one that does the trick!

Here at Ecorazzi we are psyched that going green and being beautiful go hand in hand!

Newly minted Overture Films has beefed up its marketing division by tapping Elana Sulzer senior VP of media.
She’ll report to Peter Adee, hired earlier this year as head of marketing, distribution and new media. Adee made the announcement Monday.

Sulzer started her career at U nearly a decade ago.

Earlier this year, Overture made its first acquisition by picking up U.S. rights to “Ferris Wheel,” starring Charlize Theron. Charlize Theron dreams the red carpet everytime

26

May

theron2.jpg

Looks like Oscar Winner Charlize Theron has taken the practice of walking on the red carpet a little too serious that even on general occasions she feels she should practice for the auspicious event always. Sources outside downtown eatery La Esquina saw the star “putting on a show . . . catwalking in front of the restaurant. Few “She was doing that walk for almost five minutes.” The crowd was soon bored, however, and conversation turned to whispers that Penelope Cruz was inside at a much more subdued table. A rep for Theron had no comment.
